When you're old and unwanted...
Sad to say this has to happen in our family. Since last December, my grandma who has been living with Uncle H for so many years, were asked to stay with my parents. Uncle H couldn't get a replacement maid but he "promised" grandma that he would bring her home as soon as he gets a maid. Well, it was a BIG fat lie because he never intended to bring her home.
Grandma never did like us as we're not as rich as Uncle H and "gender" thingy. My dad has all daughters while Uncle H has all sons. My grandma has never did like girls, she used to say we're not her grand children. Unlce H said that his wife refuses to let grandma stay with them as she can't get along with her. He is forced to choose between his family or his mom. Well, he choosed his family and wants to dump grandma to old folks' home. Last Saturday, Uncle H called Aunty P to inform my dad to get together for a discussion. I think Uncle H knows very well that my dad would never agree to sending grandma to the old folks' home. My aunt? Heh! This one's a bitch too she doesn't like her own mom and wouldn't want her staying with them. At the end of that discussion, grandma was asked to choose between rotational houses or old folks' home -- of course, she choosed us.
I seriously don't know if it makes them feel at all guilty. Someday when they're old and their children wants to dump them to an old folks' home, I would be there laughing at them. I pity my parents. Our maid is also leaving second week of April and our new maid is still yet to be seen. I don't know how mom's gonna manage with sister's 2 kids and an old lady. Worse if my dad's operation is scheduled *sigh*.
Friday, interview at Kwan's office. I desperately need a job. It's been 4 months now and I still can't get a job.
